NY Jets Camp To Remain In Cortland
Coming off a season in which the New York Jets reached the AFC Championship game, the Jets have decided to leave some things the same. The team announced today that training camp will remain at SUNY Cortland.
CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP)—The New York Jets will conduct training camp at an upstate New York college campus for at least the next three years.
The team announced Monday that it will stay at the State University of New York at Cortland, right in the middle of the state. The team trained there last year, too.
The Jets announced an option to extend their stay for five more years.
Some Jets fans with Long Island ties still were hoping for Hofstra. Others that are located in NJ were hoping that Florham Park would be the year round venue for the Jets. They will still hold all the non-training camp practices in Florham Park, NJ. If it worked last year, and it did, we say leave well enough alone.
SUNY Cortland will be a little more crowded this year with the added exposure of being on the HBO series Hard Knocks. For anyone going to camp be sure to check out the SUNY Cortland guide to eating and drinking by Raquel Phair.
