NFL Top Ten – Week Eight
By Nick Ferraro
1. New Orleans Saints
The Saints leapfrog Indy for the top spot. New Orleans has played better competition thus far. They have been the league’s most impressive team.
2. Indianapolis Colts
The Niners gave the Colts all they could handle. They get another tune-up this Sunday against the Texans before the Patriots come to town.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers shouldn’t take the Broncos lightly despite the tough day Denver had in Baltimore.
4. New England
The Pats have a two-game lead in the AFC East. They also had an extra week to prep for Miami’s wildcat.
5. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings appear to be the NFC’s clear number two. They were very impressive in a hostile environment Sunday.
6. Denver Broncos
There was little to like about Sunday’s performance against the Ravens. It doesn’t get any easier with the Steelers coming to town.
7. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals need to show us something this Sunday against the Ravens. They had a bye to get ready and the game is in their backyard. Pretender or contender status is on the line.
8. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys appear to be coming together as the Giants fade away. We will see exactly how far Romo and company have come this Sunday in Philadelphia.
9. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles were out in front fast and never looked back in crushing the G-men. Division control is up for grabs this week. They have the game in their backyard and no excuses for not taking control of the NFC East by Sunday night.
10. Baltimore Ravens
The Ravens played their most complete game of the season Sunday. They need to back it up in Cincinnati on Sunday.
