Pats Mayo May Miss 6-8 Weeks
Sept. 16 (Bloomberg) — New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo, the 2008 National Football League Defensive Rookie of the Year, sprained his right knee in the team’s season- opening win and might miss 6-8 weeks, the Boston Globe reported, citing people familiar with the situation.
Mayo, 23, led New England with 139 tackles last season. The Patriots visit the New York Jets on Sept. 20.
