The Jets traveled to Oakland and did what they do best. They shocked us yet again by losing to the Raiders in Overtime. The final score was 16 to 13. With the loss the Jets fall to 3 and 3 on the season. The game ended with a 57 yard field goal by Sebastian Janikowski.
What went wrong? The passing game and overall identity on offense remain their biggest problems. They started the game with a spread offense but the let the Raiders dictate the tone. Favre was hit several times early by an aggressive blitzing Raiders defense. The Jets changed to a more traditional two back set and Thomas Jones had an impressive day stat wise. They just failed to finish any drives.
Does it get any better than losing to a 1 and 4 team that is in turmoil after a mid-season coaching change?
