Jets Sign K Jay Feely
The Jets held an open casting call for kickers today. Then ended up signing 32 year old Jay Feely after auditioning him along with Dave Rayner and Aaron Elling.
Feely played college football at Michigan and has had stints with the Falcons, Giants and Dolphins. He also was in camp with the Chiefs this year for one day. Herman Edwards flew him out and then cut him for reasons known only to the voices in Herm’s head.
Feely has a lifetime field goal percentage of 80.8%. He was siged to replace the injured Mike Nugent. More info can be found here.
