David Clowney Injury Update
Dave Hutchinson of the Newark Star Ledger is reporting that WR David Clowney will be out several weeks due to his injured shoulder. Clowney, who has been a very pleasant surprise this training camp, was injured in the preseason game against the Washington Redskins.
Clowney had a break out game last week against the Browns. When a young receiver has 4 receptions for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns, people start remembering your name. Last night he was having another good game with another 4 receptions for 59 yards.
JetNation has been following Clowney throughout camp, here is a blurb that was reported on 08/09 by Brian Clark:
David Clowney continues to impress, and is just doing well. Getting alot of balls thrown his way because he is running good routes. On one play, a reverse, he took it to the outside after a good seal block by the right tackle, then due to a great block by Wallace Wright who took out 2 guys with one tackle, gave Clowney the sideline for a long touchdown run. Last year’s 5th round pick of Green Bay is definitely trying to take advantage of his chance here.
