The NY Jets lost to the Washington Redskins on a late touchdown in the 4th quarter. The preseason being what it is, most of the names that can be recognized were not on the field at the time. The final score was 13 to 10.
The story of the game for the Jets? The Quarterbacks named Brett. Brett Favre was 5 of 6 for 48 yards and threw a touchdown to Dustin Keller. Favre played two series, with a limited playbook, but performed well. He did not look like someone who has only practiced with this team seven times.
Brett Ratliff is the other story. He drove the team down the field with less than a minute to go before Mike Nugent missed a game tying field goal (the Jets were at the 5 yard line). Ratliff was 13 of 19 for 148 yards.
Kellen Clemens did not play well. He looked like a man that will soon be number 3 on the depth chart. More thoughts on the game including notes on the defense can be found here. Be sure to check out our photo gallery, TaborJet was on the scene and we will soon have photos of the action.
