FB Darian Barnes Released
The New York Jets announced some roster moves, the most noteworthy being the release of FB Darian Barnes. Barnes who has been inactive the past four weeks had not received much playing time. Which was surprising especially once FB Stacy Tutt went on I.R. Instead the Jets opted to use their Tight Ends in the backfield.
The Jets also signed punter Jeremy Kapinos to the practice squad. Kapinos who is 6’1″, 235lbs was with the Jets at the beginning of training camp. He punted at Penn State for four seasons, and had a 41.8 yard average.
They also also announced that CB Manny Collins had been released from the practice squad and that rookie WR David Ball was added to the practice squad. One roster spot remains open.
