Based upon that, that is why most people were not blown away.
I was more interested in his mechanics. And yes, I was completely blown away. We knew he had a strong arm. We knew he had a quick release. But I had no idea of his pocket presense. It was sensational, especially for a guy starting his second game. I never saw him in college, so maybe for some of you who did, this was no big deal.

With the same horrible pass protection that has killed Chad all year, KC showed great awareness. He knows how to feel the pressure and move around just enough in the pocket to avoid it, without taking his eye off of what is happening downfield. He knows when to run out of the pocket, and with that, he has surprising speed and running ability. he can pick up the first down running, something we rarely got with Chad. And when he runs out of the pocket, he still keeps his eyes downfield and can throw well on the run. He is also poised and fearless. And with that quick release and arm strength, he can complete a pass with someone in his face off his back foot. Something Chad could never do.
I’d still like to see his accuracy on long passes and his ability to find second and third receivers while still in the pocket. But with the Skins pass rush yesterday, there was no time for that.
I think we have a good one.
