Tribute To The Boar Hunter

Today is roster cut down day.  The Jets must have the roster down to 53 active players by 5pm tonight.  Various outlets are reporting that Andre Wadsworth, Kimo von Oelhoffen, Michael Haynes and Anthony Schlegel are amongst those that will be cut.  JetNation.com

has it on good authority that Schlegel is indeed a goner.

With Anthony Schlegel getting his walking papers we thought a tribute thread was in order.  Normally we would tell our favorite game day memories.  Since we don’t have any I think we should change it up a bit.  Let’s make this more of a human interest thread.  I will go first — This one time I was hunting.  Anthony was there (with a friend of a friend).  Anyhow we saw a boar.  And he hunted it with nothing but a knife.  It was wild.  It was at that moment I knew he had the skills necessary to play in the NFL. 

I was so happy when he was selected in the 3rd round.  Although I must admit I was a bit surprised.  At my hunting club we had him ranked as a high 2nd rounder.
