Game Preview: Jets vs. Giants
The Jets take on the Giants tonight in the Meadowlands. The Jets are the visitors for this game which starts at 8pm and will be televised on WNBC.
The Jets split their first two preseason games. With the first set of roster cuts scheduled to take place later this week, this will be the last chance to get noticed for any players on the bubble.
The biggest question marks for the Jets are:
1. The Offensive Line. Can Jacob Bender really be the starting Left Guard? Pete Kendall got his wish and was traded earlier this week. Bender was a Tackle in college so it will be worth watching his play closely. If he isn’t ready, the Jets will go back to Adrien Clarke but they didn’t seem real impressed with his play earlier this preseason.
2. Darrelle Revis. He is going to start tonight at CB. After just one week of camp, can he contribute? Tonight’s game won’t provide all the answers but it will give us a glimpse at Revis who has not seen the field yet this preseason due to his holdout.
3. Chad Pennington. Last week he looked like a rookie with some very bad interceptions. With a veteran the preseason isn’t as important but it would be nice to see Chad step up and give everyone confidence that this offense is ready to begin the season.
