The New York Jets announced they have signed wide receiver Sloan Thomas and defensive end Darrell Adams to the practice squad. The announcement was made by Jets’ General Manager Mike Tannenbaum.
Thomas, most recently on the Seattle Seahawks’ practice squad, is in his second stint with the Jets this season. He appeared in one NFL regular season game for Tennessee in 2005 on special teams. The former University of Texas wide receiver was originally drafted by Houston in the seventh round of the 2004 draft. He is a native of Clarksville, TN.
Adams, originally signed by the Jets as an undrafted free agent on May 12, went through training camp with the team before being waived Sept. 2. A native of Islip, NY, Adams was an all-conference defensive end at Villanova University.
