Practice Squad Moves – 11/25/05
JETS SIGN WR REGGIE HARRELL TO PRACTICE SQUAD AND RELEASE WR CRAIG BRAGG
New York City – The New York Jets announced today the signing of wide receiver Reggie Harrell to the club’s practice squad and the release of wide receiver Craig Bragg from the practice squad. The announcements were made by Jets’ Executive Vice President/General Manager Terry Bradway.
Harrell, a 6-3, 210 pound product out of Texas Christian University, signed as a rookie free agent with the Dallas Cowboys on April 28, 2005. Harrell finished his Horned Frogs career sixth on the school?s all-time list for receiving yards (1,812). He finished his junior season with 58 receptions for 1,012 yards, making him the first receiver in Texas Christian?s history to have a 1,000 yard receiving season.
Bragg, a 6-1, 195 pound product of UCLA, was a sixth-round selection of the Green Bay Packers this past April. He was waived by the Packers on their final cut-downs. As a collegian, Bragg was UCLA’s all-time receptions leader with 193 catches for 2,845 yards and also finished first in school history in punt return yardage (961) and second on their punt return list (87). He earned the distinction of becoming the first player in school history to lead the team in receptions in four consecutive seasons.
