Jeremy Kerley Signs 4 Year Contract Extension

Adam Schefter and multiple media outlets are reporting that the Jets and Wide Receiver Jeremy Kerley are close to finalizing a four year contract extension for the four-year man out of TCU.

Drafted in the fifth round of the 2011 draft, Kerley has been one of the few offensive skill players that the Jets have had prolonged success with.  Kerley  hasn’t heard his name called very much over the past few weeks however.  After hauling in fifteen catches over the season’s first three games, Kerley has accounted for just seven receptions in the last four contests.  If this deal does get finalized, Jets fans will be hoping to see Geno Smith make more of an effort to get the ball to his top target from last season.

Edit: The Jets have officially announced the move. You can read more about Jeremy Kerley in our forums.
